On Thursday, EA Sports rolled out Madden NFL 13 roster updates for the divisional round of the playoffs.
A pair of Denver Broncos offensive linemen, Ryan Clady and Manny Ramirez, both saw their overall ratings increased in the game.
Ramirez, a 6'3", 313-pound sixth-year player out of Texas Tech, has rotated from guard to tackle this season, filling in for injured starters throughout the season. After starting in 11 games and allowing 6.5 sacks, Ramirez saw his overall rating increase from 73 to 76 overall, per EA Sports.
Clady, a 6'6", 315-pound fifth-year player out of Boise State, has started in?all 80 games the Broncos have played since drafting him in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Clady allowed a team-low one sack in 2012 and saw his rating go from 92 to 93 on Thursday.
Clady will start for the Broncos on Saturday when Denver hosts the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. Ramirez will provide depth to a Broncos offensive line that just recently became healthy.
Madden ratings mean nothing on game day. But for the players, having a high rating is comparable to getting a Pro Bowl nod. Kudos to Clady and Ramirez, who have blocked their butts off this season.
