jill's thoughts behind a january fitness challenge - core studio pilates

Post by: Jill Hinson
? ? ? ? ?
? ? ?A new year, a new you! My thought behind the Core Studio Fitness Challenge 2013! Many times we neglect ourselves. We take care of everyone else. I cannot tell you how many women I meet in town who tell me, "I would love to get to your studio. I hear great things." or.... "I would love to train with you, but I want to lose a few pounds first." Studios in general can be intimidating to visit for the first time. ?The comments are heartfelt and genuine. We put the needs of everyone before our own. We get up early in the morning, feed the kids, take them to school, head to work, pick up the kids, take care of homework, feed them, take them to after school activities, bathe them, pack lunches, put them to bed, and then to bed ourselves. The routine starts again tomorrow. If we do not work full-time, we spend many days volunteering at the school, and don't forget we are team moms! If our children are grown, we have sometimes waited so long to be active we feel it is too late, or we are busy working or taking care of everyone else in the community. It is fun...but also work! Don't forget dads! My husband leaves the house before I do, heads to the office, returns home just in time for dinner, then is off to coach basketball. Repeat, until the weekend. He keeps telling me he's getting back to yoga, but he is a busy man with a busy wife and busy kids!
? ? ?I have been the working mom struggling to find time for my own workout in the past! For a period of time, I practiced Pilates by video and walked in my neighborhood. Another period of time, I walked or ran during my very short lunch break. I made sure I packed my lunch so I could at least get in 45 minutes of cardio. Before my children were school age, I would take them to day care one hour early so I could go to the gym. Did this make me a bad parent? I think it made me better! I was getting my heart rate up (the healthy way!), and it was such stress relief! When mom is happy, everyone is happy, right?
? ? ?Have you ever taken time to think about your future health? Call me crazy, but I think about it all the time. Yes, I want to look physically fit. It is important to me that I like how I look in a pair of jeans. The older I get, though, the more I want to be healthy. Overall health. I decided several years ago I would spend my money on good, quality fitness, or I may spend it later in medical office co-pays, because I did not make the right choices for myself when I was taking care of everyone else. I chose to do without pedicures, find ways to cut back on groceries, and eat out less (foods I shouldn't be eating anyway!) in order to pay for specialized training.
? ? ?Will you join me in this challenge? Give me 6-weeks where you tell everyone that this is YOUR TIME! Take time now to organize your schedule in order for others to help you out. We created this challenge to jump start your fitness and motivate you HARD CORE for 6 weeks, so that you will leave with results, and feeling like you can continue your workout with dedication and excitement. Is it worth just 6 weeks? YES, OF COURSE OR WE WOULD NOT DO IT! At the end of the challenge, our team is going to motivate you and help you to plan the rest of your year in order to meet your personal goals with a realistic schedule! Do you feel as though you have lost yourself somehow with all of the responsibilities life throws at you? Allow us to spoil you and make you appreciate yourself again. You are special, and you deserve time for you. You are the ONLY one who can truly take care of you! We have clients as busy as you are, and they are making it happen. It takes budgeting, scheduling, and committing......Click the link below to see our Fitness Challenge options and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Cardio, Pilates, Yoga, ?Fitbit, and a NEW YOU in 2013!
XOXO,
Jill Hinson
