Camden, SC--August 16, 2012 ? Join us at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) along with your neighbors and friends at the 2012 Arts Open House & Hot Dog Lunch on Saturday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the FAC grounds.? Hosted by the FAC Multi-Cultural Committee, the event is free and the public is invited to attend.? Participate in a fun community art project; tours of the FAC; pottery, dance and music demonstrations; plus face painting. Entertainment for the day will include A Warrior's Dance (a children's Christian dance group,) Candace Hudson, Tyler Hampton, Passages, We Three, and Counterpoint. In addition, members of the Camden Art Association, Camden Music Association, and the Quilters of Kershaw County will be on hand displaying some of their work and recruiting new members. The Kershaw County Library will have their book mobile on site for anyone interested in checking out a great book, and Kona Ice will be on hand with some delicious snow cones to cool you down. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the FAC?s upcoming fall season and classes at this fun, family oriented event.?

There will be a special appearance by acclaimed violinist, Daniel D, an Apollo Theatre winner and Charleston native. Only 23 years old, Daniel D. has performed for President Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson and Larry King, among others. He has also appeared on B.E.T.'s 106 & Park, and is currently on tour with T-Bone Ministries.
The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County is located at 810 Lyttleton Street in Camden.?
