?? They're hard to miss...every October thousands of bras hang from the Hotel Donaldson in downtown Fargo to raise awareness about breast cancer.? Now the men are taking over the street for Bros on Broadway with an event to raise awareness of prostate cancer and men's health.
?? This weekend, the Fargo VFW is teaming up with the bros for a fundraiser to help those in need.? The manager of the VFW became inspired to put on the event after losing his mother.? She lost her battle to Breast Cancer a little more than a year ago.
?? "Whenever I was in a down time or felt down about myself I'd just call her," said Paul Evans, Fargo VFW manager.? "I didn't have to tell her what was going on, I just had to hear her voice, and everything would be ok."
?? This weekend, he and some of his friends are inviting the public to the Fargo VFW to raise money for those struggling with Prostate Cancer.
?? "Cancer is a treatable disease - if we can do whatever we can to stop other people from having loss or people from dying," he said.
?? Evans believes he can make a difference and help other win their fight against cancer.? He thinks this is just what his mom would want him to do.
?? "That's how everyone should think - everyone should put other people before themselves," he said.
